Kaido Kirikmäe

KAIDO KIRIKMÄE has been creating music since the 1990s. He began with psychedelic rock, but soon moved on to become an intermediary of experimental and electronic soundscapes.

So far, in addition to two solo albums he has released his music on various compilation records, his music as been used as soundtracks for art exhibitions and nature films. As a solo performer Kirikmäe has performed in various noteworthy Estonian festivals (Kumu Öö, Hea Uus Heli, Pöff, Sleepwalkers, Maailmafilm, church concerts at the Uue Ajastu festival in Põlva) as well as presented his work in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland (Asymmetry festival), Germany, Switzerland, Hungary (Sziget festival), Romania, England and Iceland (Extreme Chill festival).

Kirikmäe creates and performs his music 100% live – creating massive, unrefined, yet organic sound waves, using loopers and analogue devices.

The SOOLO concert series takes place in collaboration with the Tallinn Art Hall.
