Age group 13+

Subject: conceptual art, proportions and interpersonal relations

Specialised vocabulary: proportion, installation, social art, symbol, illustration, art object, conceptual art

Duration: 60–90 minutes depending on the wishes of the group

Flo Kasearu uses different means of expression, treating art in a playful, challenging and conceptual way. Displayed in the exhibition hall are illustrations of surprising details that have irritated people, immersive video works as well as installations of symbolic chair-like objects and houseplants. They each express one aspect of the general idea of the exhibition: domestic violence and the possible ways to overcome it unfold in chapters throughout the exhibition.

We will study Kasearu’s conceptual artistic techniques and experience the way important stories can be told with the help of proportions. We can find out what plants have in common with humans and what happens when something small seems a big deal, or vice versa. We will also explore how to notice and support each other more. As a practical creative task, we will tell stories about our own lives, consciously using proportions.

Participation with an exhibition ticket.
