SOLO / Siim Kartau

On Sunday, 5 December at 4 pm, guitarist Siim Kartau will create the atmosphere for the Christmas month with his concert as part of the SOLO series at Tallinn Art Hall.

 

Siim Kartau began his guitar studies in the class of Peep Peterson at Otepää Music School. He later entered the Heino Eller Music School in Tartu to study under Kuldar Kudu, Aleksander Vinitski and Jelena Ossipova. In 2018 he obtained a master’s degree in classical guitar at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, supervised by Heiki Mätlik. During his master’s studies he also spent a year at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla with Professor Antonio Duro.

 

At Tallinn Art Hall Kartau will perform his favourite works, mostly from the Romantic era, by composers Augustin Barrios, Federico Moreno Torroba, Francisco Tárrega, Miguel Llobet and others.

The SOOLO concerts are organised in collaboration with the Tallinn Art Hall, curator Robert Jürjendal.
